Oprah’s Dr. Oz Recommends acai

If you are a fellow Oprah fan, it is likely that you have heard of or have seen Dr. Oz. Dr. Oz is a regular guest on the Oprah show and teaches how to live longer and look younger. This week Dr. Oz discussed his Ultimate Checklist for Great Aging on the show. He has alway been a fan of antioxidants and has now added ACAI to his list of antioxidant rich fruits and vegetables that he recommends eating!

The following is a quote from his appearance:

Dr. Oz is ready to introduce a new entry to his hall of fameā€”the acai (pronounced “AH-sigh-EE”), a small fruit from South American rainforests that is often found in the United States in juice. “It has twice the antioxidant content as a blueberry, so it’s a wonderful alternative,” Dr. Oz says. “Look at the food label and make sure they don’t have too many carbohydrates in there.

As you can see he recommends eating 5 servings of antioxidant rich foods. The recommended serving of MonaVie has the antioxidants of 13 servings!

The thing he neglected to mention was to watch the label for added sugars and calories!
